WebSpy Wins Consensus Software Award

PERTH, Australia, 2 May 2007: WebSpy Ltd (ASX: WSY), an Australian developer of internet monitoring and management software, was last night named a winner of the prestigious 2007 Consensus Software Award.
The Consensus Software Awards program showcases Australia's finest software developers and their technology. The Award is based on the criterion of innovation; the ability to perform; and market potential.
Presenting the award was the Hon. Gary Nairn, Australian Federal Special Minister for State together with representatives from Microsoft and IBM who are major sponsors of the event. Webspy's CEO Jack Andrys, COO Lagis Zavros and Development Manager Scott Glew attended the Sydney based presentation dinner together with over 300 industry members.
WebSpy's, Chief Operating Officer, Lagis Zavros, said, "Receiving this Consensus Award is great testament of our software development efforts and our ability to take a home-grown product to the world market successfully."
Zavros added "This Consensus Software Award is particularly significant because it recognizes our product innovation, performance and execution as evaluated by an independent panel of industry experts."
The panel commented that "The WebSpy team has overcome the need of network managers to use different analysers for each log file reporting requirement by developing Vantage, a log analysis application that intelligently and efficiently imports and analyses different types of log files, taking raw data and converting it into meaningful, actionable information for managers. True innovation."
WebSpy's winning entry, WebSpy® Vantage, allows analysis against any type of security device, enabling clients to import log files that their Internet proxy, firewall, cache device or mail server generates, then analyse data to generate and export various levels of activity based reports.
